Board of Directors

Board of Directors Election News

We are proud to congratulate this year’s top vote getters in our Board of Directors election! Your willingness to step forward and serve reflects a deep commitment to our scholars, families, and the continued growth of the Liberty Difference. I look forward to continuing to work with Mrs. Knopf, Dr. Newton, & Mrs. Rauchenbach in their role as members of our Board of Directors. To the other candidates, thank you. Thank you for putting yourself forward to be considered for public service in this capacity. The certified election results are attached. This process matters. Under South Carolina charter law, five of our nine board seats are elected, giving our parents and staff a direct voice in the governance of our school. The remaining four seats are appointed to ensure we have the diverse expertise needed to lead a high-performing, mission-driven organization. We are especially grateful to our parents and staff who participated in this election—this is parent empowerment in action. Our Board of Directors plays a critical role in setting the vision, ensuring financial stewardship, upholding accountability, and protecting the long-term success of Liberty STEAM Charter School. These leaders serve selflessly in an unpaid capacity and are driven by their belief in our mission and our scholars’ futures. Thank you again to everyone who voted and to those who stepped up to serve. Together, we continue to lead with purpose, build with excellence, and ensure our scholars rise anyway.
