We’re building a team of passionate educators who unapologetically advocate for students—especially students of color.  By joining Liberty STEAM, you have the opportunity to join a collective effort to reimagine the educational experience for students and families in Sumter. From our board members, senior leadership to teachers and support staff, we’re boldly confronting the historic inequities that have prevented our scholars from social and economic freedom—especially our scholars of color— and actively work together to dismantle those inequities.

  • Co-develop a new school and serve on the founding team

  • Help end historic educational inequities for students in Sumter—especially students of color 

  • Reimagine what’s possible for students and families 

  • Innovate and design high-impact educational experiences for scholars

  • Competitive starting salary for first-year teachers starting at $40K with the potential in incentive pay to earn up to $50K
