Dr. Brenda Hafner

I am honored to join the Liberty STEAM Charter School team as Superintendent for the 2026-27 school year. Having watched the school flourish since its inception, I  have been continually impressed by the strong leadership of Dr. Trevor Ivey and the Board of Directors, as well as the schools unwavering commitment of providing exceptional educational opportunities for the scholars & families of Sumter County. I look forward to partnering with our leadership team faculty, staff, VIPs, and scholars as we continue to build upon LSC’s tradition of excellence. This coming year marks an exciting new chapter as we expand into middle school and continue working toward the vision of the Early College and Technical High School that will prepare our scholars to graduate with both a high school diploma and an associate’s degree. Together, we will empower scholars with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to step confidently into prosperous careers while making a lasting, positive impact on the Sumter community.
