Stephanie Hickmon

Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Winthrop University, with a minor in Dance. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s in Curriculum and Instructional Technology from Coker University

As a lifelong resident of Sumter, I join the LSC team with 8 years of experience in education. 

My awards include 2018-2019 Campus Distinguished Literacy Teacher, 2018-2019 Campus Teacher of the Year, and 2021-2022 Campus Teacher of the Year. 

My favorite quote is, "Bloom where you are planted."

My desire is to give back to the wonderful Sumter community where I was nurtured.

I am also passionate about teaching praise dance at my church, volunteering at our dance studio and serving others with my sorority sisters. 

I come from a family of educators. My father is a retired Visual Arts teacher and my mother is a retired English teacher. I love children's books and am currently writing one. I also loves watching Animal Planet, Hallmark Movies and mysteries.
