Liberty STEAM Charter has received a pledged donation from the Sumter based
Williams-Brice-Edwards Charitable Trust totaling $1 million to support future capital improvement projects.
The pledged amount of financial support will be allocated in phases over the next three years to LSC to be used for capital improvement projects.
Frank O. Edwards, chairman of the Williams-Brice-Edwards Charitable Trust, presented an initial check in the amount of $350,000 to the LSC Senior Leadership Team on December 21, 2020.
The Williams-Brice-Edwards Charitable Trust expressed commitment to pay the remaining balance of $650,000 in two annual equal installments in fiscal years 2022 and 2023, respectively.
“This significant investment will help us to grow into the transformational educational experience that we seek to provide to our scholars and their families and we are truly appreciative of this affirmation,” stated Dr. Khalil Graham, LSC executive director.
